In June MJS Electrical Supplies is proud to be taking part in The Push-Up Challenge. We will be completing 3,318 push-ups over 25 days.
One in five Australians will experience mental ill health this year and only 46% of people seek help. It's a complex challenge - for ourselves, our loved ones and, most of all, for the nine Australians who die by suicide everyday.
The Push For Better Foundation aims to engage and educate people in mental and physical health, and raise awareness of the mental health issues affecting everyday Australians.
The Foundation was launched in October 2020 by Nick Hudson and is a health promotion charity registered with the ACNC. Our focus is on the prevention and early intervention of depression, anxiety and suicide.
The foundation's flagship event is The Push-Up Challenge, run each year over the month of June to bring people from different walks to life together to push for better mental health. It's a fun and unique way to engage people in mental health through connection, physical activity and education.
Challenge yourself to complete 3,318 push-ups over 25 days this June and help us put the spotlight on the tragic number of lives lost to suicide in Australia in 2019.
Participants can aim for 25%, 50%,75% or 100% of the push-up target and other exercise alternatives such as sit-ups, squats or lunges are welcome.
