        Heat Shrink is plastic tubing which shrinks when it is heated. It usually shrinks to 2:1 of its original size. This provides good electrical insulation, protection from dust, solvents and other foreign materials, as well as strain relief. Heat shrink is available in a variety of colours and sizes. There is also glue lined heat shrink available which has an adhesive on the inside of the tubing to form and extra solid bond.
