This 4.0mm² 2 Core + Earth Orange Circular cable comes on a 100 metre roll and suits single-phase circuits that need more capacity than 2.5mm² cable. It carries an active, a neutral and an earth in one tough round cable, making it a popular choice for submains to outbuildings, air conditioners and other heavier single-phase loads.

The cores are V-90 PVC insulated in red, black and green/yellow and enclosed in an orange 5V-90 PVC sheath of about 11.4mm diameter. Rated 450/750V with a 90°C maximum conductor temperature, the cable glands neatly at switchboards and equipment and can be installed unenclosed, in conduit or in underground ducts where it is not exposed to mechanical damage.
